Scientific Background

Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1) is an endogenous peptide hormone that mediates many of the biological effects associated with growth hormone signaling. It primarily exerts its activity through binding to the IGF-1 receptor (IGF-1R), initiating intracellular signaling pathways involved in cellular growth, proliferation, differentiation, and survival.

IGF-1 LR3 is a modified analogue consisting of an additional 13 amino acids at the N-terminus and a substitution of arginine for glutamic acid at position 3.
